## Product Directions

Status: `strategic planning; not experimental evidence`

These directions translate SAH-BRI-Grasp into possible product narratives. They are not verified product-market claims.

## Direction 1: Research Paper Output Suite

This is the nearest-term direction because the repository already contains the needed workflow primitives:

* local PDF corpus management;
* source ledger and manual-download policy;
* paper cards;
* evidence matrix;
* claim-status gating;
* experiment protocols;
* generated docs site;
* manuscript sections.

Potential positioning:

```text
an evidence-backed research workspace for turning local papers into auditable manuscripts
```

Primary users: researchers, graduate students, lab teams, and internal R\&D teams writing literature-backed papers.

Main risk: the product must preserve evidence discipline and avoid becoming a generic summarizer.

## Direction 2: Embodied Intelligence + BCI Enterprise Concept

This direction packages SAH-BRI as a human-in-the-loop interface for embodied AI systems.

Potential positioning:

```text
BCI as a high-level intention layer for embodied robot autonomy
```

Useful demo:

* visual scene detection;
* user selects target through SSVEP;
* user confirms or intervenes through MI or SSVEP;
* robot executes through shared autonomy;
* system logs every decision and failure mode.

Evidence status: `inferred` as a product narrative. It requires working demos and enterprise workflow validation.

## Direction 3: Rehabilitation And Assistive Interaction

This is the highest-impact but highest-risk direction.

Safe near-term positioning:

```text
assistive shared-control interaction and rehabilitation-training interface research
```

Do not claim clinical efficacy without clinical study design, ethics review, safety validation, and domain-specific outcome measures.

Potential users:

* motor-impaired users needing assistive object interaction;
* rehabilitation researchers;
* clinics exploring BCI-robot training interfaces.

Evidence status: `needs confirmation` for clinical benefit and long-term use.

## Product Evidence Gaps

| Direction                   | Main Gap                                                              |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Research paper output suite | Usability and workflow validation with real researchers. |
| Embodied intelligence + BCI | Robust live demo, latency, safety, and user-control evidence. |
| Rehabilitation | Clinical protocol, safety case, ethics, and patient-centered metrics. |
